Moroccan Feminist Group Demands Action Against Rising Violence Towards Women

Exasperated, the Moroccan women, gathered within the Union of Feminist Action (UAF), call for "zero tolerance for violence against women".
Given the savagery suffered by many women in Morocco, the Union of Feminist Action (UAF) says stop. Among the victims are young women like Amina, Khadija, Hasna and Hanane, reports femmesdumaroc.com.
Among the victims are women who have been raped, tortured, who have committed suicide or who have been cowardly murdered.
After denouncing these horrors, the UAF is moving on to another stage. In a post published on its Facebook page, it calls for "zero tolerance for violence against women". This is also the theme of its campaign, launched at the beginning of the year, as part of the EuroMed network.
For this call to have an impact, the Association urges the government to "establish prevention programs against violence against women at the level of schools, the media, social networks, to also take care of the survivors and to be intransigent towards the perpetrators".
Created in 1987, the UAF is a non-governmental, non-profit association whose objective is to strengthen the social and legal status of women and to eliminate all forms of discrimination against them.
