Sexual harassment is a very widespread phenomenon in Egypt. And the authorities have advised the supporters to quickly join the city center and avoid traveling alone.

A significant security device was put in place by the Egyptian authorities during the current edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. The objective is to ensure the safety of visitors and to avoid any form of public misconduct.

The Moroccan diplomatic mission in Egypt had reacted to the aggression of Moroccan supporters and called on the authorities of the country to make more efforts in protecting Moroccan citizens, who arrived in droves to support the Atlas Lions.
