Moroccan Journalists Face Online Harassment After Exposing ’Mercenary’ in Print Article

Moroccan journalists from the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia were victims of sexual harassment and obscene remarks, after the publication of their photos and personal phone numbers on the social network Facebook.
According to Ahdath.info, the individual behind these criminal acts, one Jawad El H., had been the subject of a publication in the print version of the newspaper, Al Ahdath Al Maghribia, of an article portraying him as a mercenary hiding under the guise of a defender of freedoms.
The man would then have started by sending vulgar messages and threats to managers and editors of the said newspaper, before publishing their photos and personal phone numbers on several websites.
This incident embarrassed the journalists, especially the women, who had become the prey of all kinds of harassers. The individual, who had not limited himself to publishing the coordinates, had even accused them of debauchery.
