Moroccan Women Boxers Allege Sexual Harassment by National Team Coach

Moroccan boxers accuse the national team coach of sexually harassing them during the weigh-in that took place in his room. Many of them would have been forced to undress.
All the alleged victims accuse the coach of the women’s team of repeated sexual harassment, reports Al Akhbar. These practices have surprised these boxers who have recounted the facts to their relatives. They in turn contacted the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation (FRMB) to demand explanations from it.
For his part, the technician explains that he asked the boxers to undress completely to check their actual weight and musculature. Except that several sound recordings of the boxers’ relatives seem to confuse him. Some parents have also brandished the threat of taking the matter to court.
Following their complaints, the president of the FRMB, Jaouad Belhaj, set up an investigation commission. Based on the conclusions of this commission, two victims of sexual harassment were fired. The coach, for his part, remains in his position. His victims cry out in scandal.
