Moroccan Exporters Explore US Market Opportunities at Casablanca Consulate Meeting

Moroccan exporters wishing to explore business opportunities in the American market attended an orientation and awareness-raising session organized by the US Consul General in Casablanca.
During this meeting, which was attended by the US Consul General, Lawrence M. Randolph and members of the Moroccan Association of Exporters (Asmex), several proposals were made to facilitate trade between the two countries.
To this end, the president of Asmex, Hassan Sentissi El Idrissi, among other things, recommended the creation of a joint shipping company in order to increase trade flows between the two countries and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the free trade agreement concluded between the two countries.
El Idrissi also pleaded for the transfer of American technological skills, particularly in the field of seawater desalination, in order to meet the needs of several regions of Morocco. The American side is also invited to seize the various investment opportunities offered by Morocco, in order to serve both the Moroccan market and the African markets.
In addition, Moroccan operators have been invited to participate in the "Select USA 2022" Investment Summit, scheduled for June 26-29 in Washington. This annual summit highlights the current investment environment in the United States and industry trends.
