Moroccan Expert Predicts March 23 Start for Ramadan 2023

Moroccan astronomy expert Hicham El Aissaoui has just predicted the start date of Ramadan 2023 in Morocco.
According to astronomical calculations, the first day of Ramadan will correspond to March 23. Hicham Aissaoui indicates that the month of Ramadan will last 30 days instead of 29 in Morocco as has been the case for the past five years. As for Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries, they should only fast for 29 days.
Traditionally, the month of Ramadan is determined by the appearance of the crescent moon on the 29th evening of Sha’ban. Morocco should see the Ramadan crescent on Wednesday, March 22. Other countries like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt should announce the results of the crescent moon sighting on Tuesday, March 21.
