Moroccan Expats’ Car Plunges into Ravine in Al Hoceima, Sparking Safety Concerns

The passengers of a car belonging to MREs were injured after a road accident that occurred on Friday, July 18 in the afternoon, in the province of Al Hoceima.
Their vehicle ended up in a ravine below the national road No. 2, not far from the commune of Aït Youssef Ouali, reports the local website Nadorcity.
According to the first elements gathered on the spot, the driver, a Moroccan national residing in the Netherlands, would have lost control of her vehicle for an as yet undetermined reason. The car left the road before overturning. The injured were taken care of and evacuated to the provincial hospital of Al Hoceima.
The services of the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection went to the scene to secure the area and provide assistance. An investigation has been opened by the authorities to determine the precise circumstances of the accident. Local sources have mentioned the hypothesis of excessive speed or an unexpected event on the road.
