Moroccan Drug Kingpin’s Reign Ends: Cocaine Baron Nabbed in Dramatic Gendarmerie Raid

The elements of the judicial center of the Royal Gendarmerie of Bouskoura have succeeded in arresting one of the most wanted drug barons in the kingdom, putting an end to his long flight.
End of the run for the drug baron who was the subject of more than 14 national arrest warrants. He was arrested in flagrante delicto, accompanied by four of his closest collaborators as part of an operation supervised by the commander of the Bouskoura gendarmerie and the head of the judicial center. They had in their possession bladed weapons - swords and knives.
During the searches, the gendarmes seized two vehicles used in trafficking operations containing large quantities of cocaine, "poufa" and cannabis. The drug baron was involved in several cases, including the management of a criminal organization specialized in the trafficking of cocaine, "poufa" (powerful psychotropic), and hashish, but also of qualified thefts, reports Assabah.
After their arrest, the five suspects were taken into custody. They should be brought before the courts. The judicial investigation opened, under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office to dismantle the entire network and identify its ramifications, its accomplices, as well as the structures that facilitated its escape during all this time, is ongoing. The investigations will also have to determine whether the group is linked to other violent crimes, such as rapes or physical assaults against competitors in the drug trafficking trade.
