The Moroccan dirham resists against the euro
The Moroccan dirham remained almost stable against the euro and depreciated by 1% against the US dollar during the week of February 26 to March 04, according to Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM).
During this period, no auction operation was carried out on the foreign exchange market, the Moroccan central bank said in its recent weekly indicator bulletin.
As for the official reserve assets, they stood at 462 billion dirhams (MMDH) as of February 27, up 0.5% from the previous week and 25.6% year-on-year.
On the stock market side, the MASI fell by 10.1% from February 26 to March 04, bringing its underperformance since the beginning of the year to 11.6%.
As for the weekly trading volume, it went from 1.4 MMDH to 3.9 MMDH from one week to the next, mainly carried out on the central equity market.
