Moroccan Diplomatic Pioneer Ahmed Snoussi Dies at 92

The Moroccan diplomacy is in mourning. It has just lost one of its pioneers in the person of Ahmed Snoussi. He died on Monday at his home at the age of 92.
Ahmed Snoussi is one of those who worked on the creation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the aftermath of independence. He had a very dense diplomatic career and was appointed to various positions, including that of Moroccan ambassador to the United Nations, former Minister of Information and ambassador in several African countries (Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria and Mauritania).
The late Ahmed Snoussi lived through several political and diplomatic events in post-independence Morocco. The deceased was also one of the founding members of the Moroccan Diplomatic Club. He was also part of the first contingent of Moroccan students at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris, Sciences Po.
