New Moroccan Cruise Line to Launch Passenger Service Between Morocco and Europe

The Moroccan maritime transport platform will expand with a new player. Its name: Morocco Cruise Line.
This new entity based in Casablanca belongs to the AEM Holding group of the El Moutea family, which operates in urban transport, and its associates. Morocco Cruise Line’s activities will start in 2021 with a first passenger ship operating between Morocco and Europe, according to Challenge.ma.
With bank financing and the financial contribution of the shareholders, including the main promoter, LK Invest and Theolys, several hundred million dirhams will be invested in the new entity between 2021 and 2024, the same source said.
The Moutea family owns 1,200 buses under the City Bus brand in eight Moroccan cities: Fez, Meknes, Kenitra, El Jadida, Tetouan, Fkih Ben Saleh, Oujda and Rabat.
