Moroccan Consulate Brings Mobile Services to UK Residents in Birmingham
To enable Moroccans residing in the center of the United Kingdom to quickly access consular services, the Moroccan Consulate General in London organized a mobile consulate in Birmingham on Saturday.
Coming from all over the United Kingdom, members of the Moroccan community were able to access all the administrative services they need and could only do in London. Everyone appreciated this initiative organized at Birmingham City University (BCU).
In addition to consular services, Moroccans residing in Birmingham and the surrounding area also took advantage of the presence of several bank representatives. The Consul General of Morocco in London, Khalid El Moujadidi, was pleased with the mobilization of Moroccans around the initiative and stressed to the MAP that it could not be otherwise, since the consulate has ceased to organize such events since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. On Saturday, many Moroccans who settled in the United Kingdom before Brexit came to Birmingham to transcribe the birth of their children born in Italy, Spain and to a lesser extent Belgium, the Consul explained.
The Moroccan Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Hakim Hajoui, and the Consul took advantage of this initiative to exchange with some Moroccan skills established in Birmingham who thanked the authorities for this initiative.
Another mobile consulate will be organized in Edinburgh on June 11 for Moroccans in Scotland, to help them easily access consular services, Khalid El Moujadidi said.
