Morocco Launches Mobile Consulates in France to Aid Summer Travel Plans

In order to bring consular services closer to the Moroccan community residing in France, and to facilitate the return of Moroccans living abroad (MREs) to Morocco during the summer holidays, mobile consulates have been organized in several cities such as Brive la Gaillarde and Clermont-Ferrand.
The mobile consulate in Brive was organized by the Moroccan Consulate General in Bordeaux for Moroccan nationals residing in Corrèze.
This operation aroused an "unprecedented" enthusiasm from the MREs settled in this department, specifies the press release of the diplomatic representation, reporting a "record attendance". For the Consulate, Moroccan nationals want to take advantage of the reopening of borders and the summer holidays to go to Morocco. This explains the observed eagerness.
For its part, the Moroccan Consulate General in Lyon carried out a consular trip to Clermont-Ferrand where it provided socio-consular services to MREs. This includes, among other things, the issuance of official documents to their holders (national identity cards, passports, adoulaire acts, etc.). The Consul General, Zouhair Jibraili, took the opportunity to meet with several heads of Moroccan associations in France, as well as with elected officials and municipal officials in Puy-de-Dôme.
