Moroccan Consulate Brings Mobile Services to Expats in Poitiers for Migrants Day

On the occasion of the celebration of International Migrants Day, the Moroccan Consulate General in Bordeaux organized a mobile consulate yesterday, Saturday, December 18, for the Moroccan community established in Poitiers. The aim was to bring the consulate closer to the Moroccans living abroad (MREs).

The operation, which was carried out in full compliance with the health measures in force in France, was marked by a large influx of Moroccans from this city, who largely welcomed the relevance and interest of this type of consular travel in the eyes of the members of the community residing in this locality, according to the Moroccan Consulate General in Bordeaux in a press release.

This consular operation allowed the Consul General in Bordeaux, Ahmed Nouri Salimi, to meet with political figures from Poitiers. These include the national deputy and former member of the Executive Committee of LREM, Sacha Houlie, the mayor of the city of Poitiers, Léonore Moncond’huy, and the former LREM deputy and former member of the France-Morocco Friendship Group in the National Assembly, Jacques Savatier.

During the meetings, there were exchanges on the Moroccan community in Poitiers as well as on the prospects for cooperation between the main political forces in Poitiers with Morocco.

The Consulate General in Bordeaux also organized a mobile consulate this Sunday, December 19, in Limoges.
