Moroccan Consulate Arranges Repatriation of Seasonal Worker Killed in Spanish Bus Accident

The Consul General of Morocco in Seville, Sidi Farid Aoulouhaj, announced that he has initiated the procedures to repatriate the body of the Moroccan seasonal worker who died in the bus accident transporting about forty seasonal workers, which occurred on Monday on the A-484, at the height of the municipality of Almonte.
The family of the deceased has already been located and the procedure for repatriating her body has been initiated, the Moroccan consul assured, adding that several members of the consular team are at the bedside of the injured admitted to various hospitals to inquire about their state of health.
The seasonal worker’s parents will have to go to Almonte where they will be received by the mayor of the city, Rocío del Mar Castellano, reports Huelva Informacion. For its part, the municipal council, through the Immigration Office, has made itself fully available to the consulate and the fruit and vegetable company for which the Moroccan seasonal workers work to "support and assist" them in the procedures.
The accident occurred on Monday at 6:25 am, 16 kilometers from the A-484 road. For reasons still unknown, the bus transporting these Moroccan seasonal workers from San Juan del Puerto (Huelva) where they are housed, to their workplace, left the road and overturned. The Civil Guard is investigating the causes of the accident.
