Bus Crash in Spain Kills 1, Injures 25 Moroccan Seasonal Farm Workers

One person was killed and 25 others were injured - seven of them seriously - in a bus accident carrying Moroccan seasonal workers, which occurred on Monday, May 1, 2023 in southern Spain.
According to the emergency services, the accident occurred just before sunrise on a road about 50 kilometers from the Andalusian city of Huelva (southwest) known for its vast agricultural industry. A bus carrying 34 Moroccan agricultural workers overturned early Monday. "A woman died and 25 other people were injured, seven of them in very serious condition, when a bus carrying seasonal workers overturned," the 112 said on the regional government’s website.
"34 workers were traveling on the bus; one of them died in the accident, seven others were seriously injured and 18 others were slightly injured," the emergency medical services "CES" doctors said. Informed, Yolanda Diaz, Minister of Labor, expressed her "condolences and deepest sympathy to the workers victims of this very serious accident," before the May 1st marches. For now, the cause of the accident remains unknown.
