Moroccan Company Poised to Acquire French Football Club Sochaux for €7.5 Million

It seems that Morocco will make its entry into the French football landscape. This will be through the purchase by a company from the Kingdom of the Football club Sochaux-Montbéliard (FCSM). The circumstances seem to be in favor of the success of this project in the coming days, according to the French newspaper L’Est républicain.

7.5 million euros. According to the daily on its website, the amount of money made available by Abdella El Mendli, the first manager of the Moroccan group, Green plus, to acquire the Football club Sochaux-Montbéliard (FCSM). This amount is divided into two objectives to be achieved.

The first, still according to this media, is to meet the conditions imposed by the National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG), the regulatory body of French football. Thus, for the FCSM to qualify to return to the second division, it had to pay an amount of 4 million euros.
Secondly, acquiring the Club from its current Chinese owners required an investment of a total of 3.5 million euros.

Thus, having met these two financial conditions, Abdella El Mendli only has to wait for the authorities to meet to rule. Apparently, no obstacle should stand in the way of his objective of "affirming development internationally and, in particular, on the French market" of Green plus, his Group operating in the agricultural sector, specializing in the production of fruits and vegetables, as recalled by the website of the French newspaper. For Abdella El Mendli, this involves "relying on a renowned football club", recalls L’Est républicain.
