Leganés Aims to Retain Moroccan Striker En-Nesyri Amid Transfer Speculation

The announced departure of the Moroccan international, Youssef En-Nesyri, from Leganés, is not shared by his Spanish club. The latter does not want to let go of one of its best players.
The club’s sporting director, Txema Indias, recalled this Wednesday, July 10, 2019, the club’s desire to keep the Atlas Lion in the "Pepineros" squad.
During the presentation of two Leganés recruits, Aitor Ruibal and Fede Varela, the club official commented on the good performances of the one who has adapted very quickly, to the point of becoming the team’s reference striker. "It is impossible to guarantee things in football," he says.
Thanks to En-Nesyri’s good performances last season, when he arrived in August 2018 at the club, FC Leganés is ready to renew the contract of this player who cost the tidy sum of 5 million euros. This historic transfer is the most expensive in the Madrid suburb club.
