Spanish Club Leganés Seeks FIFA Compensation for En-Nesyri Injury During Morocco Duty

Injured during the training of the Moroccan team just before the friendly match against Argentina, the player Youssef En-Nesyri will probably be unavailable for several months to the great regret of Leganés, his current club.
The Spanish club will thus lose one of its best scorers (8 goals since the start of the season), while it is fighting to maintain its place in the Spanish elite. Indeed, his case will be discussed by FIFA, which has just received the complaint from Leganés claiming compensation for this injury.
This compensation, if confirmed, will depend on the player’s condition and especially the period of unavailability. We should know in the next few hours whether the player needs knee surgery, synonymous with a total stoppage of around 4 months, or just pain that will force him to stay off the field for four weeks, which means he will be operational for the next Africa Cup with the Atlas Lions.
Trained at the Mohammed VI Football Academy, Youssef En-Nesyri scored the superb header against Spain and was recruited by Leganés after a stint at Malaga. He was one of the key players in Hervé Renard’s system, who will now have to find a replacement for him.
