Moroccan International Hamza Mendyl Loaned to Dijon from Schalke 04

The Moroccan international, Hamza Mendyl, joins Ligue 1 with the Dijon club. The native of Casablanca and former member of Lille has been loaned to this French club, without a purchase option, for one season.
Under contract since 2018 with Schalke04 until 2023, the Atlas Lion, Mendyl, was on his way out. With 16 caps to his name, all competitions combined, in the German club, his performances no longer seduce Schalke 04. The latter has therefore decided to do without his services.
The French Ligue 1 club, Dijon, which had been looking for several weeks to enlist the Moroccan player, Mendyl, to strengthen its squad, would have found an arrangement to bring him to its bench in the form of a loan and without a purchase option, reports the same media.
The former Lille player, bought for 7 million euros, should therefore reintegrate Ligue 1, while the 2019-2020 season started on August 9, 2019.
