Moroccan City Tangier Named Among Most Affordable Mediterranean Beach Destinations for 2025

A platform specializing in travel news places a Moroccan city among the cheapest seaside destinations on the Mediterranean coast for summer 2025.
As the summer holidays approach, a period during which tourists seek to choose less expensive destinations compared to well-known tourist sites, the international platform Travel Off Path, specializing in travel news, publishes its ranking of the cheapest seaside destinations on the Mediterranean coast for summer 2025. Tangier features alongside cities like Blanes in Spain, Kos in Greece, and Vlorë in Albania.
The Moroccan city owes its positioning to its unique geographical location: only the Strait of Gibraltar separates it from the European continent. It is thus a distinctive cultural meeting point. 25 km from the center of Tangier lies Achakar beach. This is among the main tourist sites, offering visitors its blue waters, golden sand, and complete facilities. From 10 dollars, it is possible to enjoy a meal in local restaurants. A night in a mid-range hotel costs about 51 dollars.
Another attraction of Tangier: its atmosphere is similar to that of southern Spanish cities, "but it retains a strong Moroccan identity, particularly noticeable in the architecture of its medina, with its narrow streets, white buildings, as well as its iconic historical monuments such as the Kasbah," it is described.
