Moroccan TV Channels Dominate Ramadan Viewership, Capturing 84% of Prime Time Audience

For those who spoke of a decline in Moroccans’ interest in national television, they are mistaken. Not only do Moroccan viewers prefer their channels during Ramadan, but they are also more than 80% to watch them, leaving only crumbs to the more than 1,000 other channels available on satellite.
According to the audience figures released by Marocmétrie, the channels of the public group, i.e. the various channels of the National Broadcast and Television Company (SNRT) and 2M, captured 84% of the prime time audience share during the second week of Ramadan thanks, it is said, to the various programs offered.
The Al Oula channel, according to these figures, gained 5 points of audience share during the iftar, as Moroccans tend to leave their television on during the meal. Marocmétrie also notes that more and more Moroccans are using other channels to watch television, as evidenced by the success of the SNRT application.
This application receives more than 2 million visits each week and since its launch, it has been downloaded more than 2.2 million times on the various app stores.
