Moroccan TV Channel 2M Dominates Ramadan Ratings with Over 50% Audience Share

A press release from 2M TV states that the channel has been able to take great advantage in terms of audience during the first week of the holy month of Ramadan. Indeed, 2M TV claims more than 50% of the audience share.
2M TV and SNRT can be proud of their performance. Indeed, at the beginning of the month of Ramadan, these national channels dominate prime time, cumulatively accounting for 83.1% of the audience share. The press release recalls that "with an audience share of 50.6% on the entire first day of the month of Ramadan and up to 61.6% of the audience share in prime time, the 2M channel dominates Moroccan television".
This is a performance to be credited to the attractive programs offered to viewers. First, notably "thanks to the program ’Mchiti Fiha’, whose 4th season records a new audience record in Morocco with 12.6 million viewers and more than 74% of the audience share during the first week of the holy month," the press release said.
To this is added the ftour slot which "signs its best performance of the week with 10.6 million viewers gathered around ’Lbhaja Tani’". But there is also the soap opera "Samhini", as well as the program "Zaretna Al Baraka" and "Hdidane chez les Pharaons" which attract 8.7 million, 7.6 million and 7.5 million viewers respectively.
In addition to this attractive cocktail that attracts millions of viewers, the press release adds the new 2M series broadcast in the late evening which are also very successful, with "Azzaima" which tells the story of a Moroccan female politician (4.1 million viewers) and "Qsar el Bacha", a social drama featuring the city of Essaouira (4 million viewers). As can be seen, the national channels 2M and SNRT are imposing themselves and taking the lion’s share, with 83.1% of the audience share, an increase of +7 points compared to the first week of the month of Ramadan last year, leaving a small portion to the set of foreign satellite channels which do not exceed 17%.
