Moroccan Cancer Patient Risks Life as Stowaway, Seeking Treatment in Europe
Suffering from cancer, Fatma Aboudrar chose to stow away on a boat to reach the Canary Islands. In search of treatment for her illness in Europe, she shared the video of her boarding on Facebook with a message full of compassion to justify her decision.
Fatma, overwhelmed by pain and illness, is looking for a peaceful place where she can receive the necessary free treatment for her cancer. She has the choice between finding an eldorado abroad or dying at sea.
Moreover, Moroccans suffering from the same disease have shared their painful experiences during a campaign in order to urge the government to guarantee free treatment against the disease.
To this end, activists have launched a petition to demand that the government create a fund to contribute to the treatment of cancer for patients.
On social networks, this video of Fatma has been widely shared with various comments from Internet users.
