Moroccan Cancer Activist Rajaa Bouziane Dies After Leading ’Warriors’ Campaign for Free Treatment

Rajaa Bouziane is no more. The initiator of the "warriors" campaign, demanding free access to treatments and medicines for people with cancer, died last Saturday, January 4.
The "warrior" will have fought until her last breath for an improvement in the situation of people with cancer. The announcement of her death was made by one of her friends and member of the collective on Facebook in these terms: "One of our warriors, Rajaa, has died. It was for her that this campaign was launched and we do not want to die of cancer either. We want our right to free treatment," indicates 2M.ma
It was only in December 2019 that this campaign was launched on Facebook under the hashtag "Mabgenash_Nmoto_Bsaratan - #مابغيناش_نموتو_بالسرطان" ("We don’t want to die of cancer"). The goal is to force the government’s hand to guarantee them free access to treatments and medicines.
Among other actions, the collective had also launched a petition on social networks for the creation of a fund dedicated to the fight against cancer and the care of all people with cancer, the same source specifies.
