Moroccan-British Actor Youssef Kerkour to Lead New ITVX Romantic Comedy Series

Moroccan-British actor Youssef Kerkour has been cast to lead the upcoming ITVX dramatic comedy "Significant Other".
Youssef Kerkour will star alongside British actress Katherine Parkinson. Filming for the series will begin in September in Manchester, UK next month. According to the synopsis, the series tells the story of Anna (Parkinson) and Sam (Kerkour), "two lonely neighbors in their forties, who embark on a hesitant and obstacle-filled relationship after dramatic life events bring them together." The series will be directed by filmmaker David Sant, while production will be handled by Quay Street Productions, which is part of ITV Studios.
"I am delighted and very grateful to team up with Nicola Shindler again and to have the privilege of working with Katherine Parkinson, whom I have been a fan of for so many years. The true value of a career lies in the exceptional people you work with and the love and joy that this work brings to an audience... (and vice versa). ’Significant Other’ is a beautiful story with a wickedly funny center, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone," he wrote on Instagram.
