Moroccan Artillery Chief Visits Israel to Strengthen Military Ties
Major General Mohamed Benawali, Inspector of the Artillery of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), recently visited Israel. This working visit is part of the strengthening of military cooperation between the FAR and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Since the normalization of their relations, Morocco and Israel have been working to strengthen their military cooperation. In September 2022, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Army (IDF), Aviv Kochavi, welcomed Corps General El Farouk Belkhir, Chief of the General Staff of the Moroccan Army, who came to participate in the International Conference on Innovation, alongside representatives from countries like the United States, Canada, Australia and India. In August of the same year, Israeli Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai arrived in Morocco, where he met with senior police and security officials, including the head of intelligence, Abdellatif Hammouchi.
