Moroccan-American Arrested in Salé for Firearm Threat and Public Intoxication

A Moroccan-American national was arrested on Saturday by elements of the judicial police service in Salé. He is accused of being allegedly involved in a case of threat with a firearm and manifest drunkenness.
The 50-year-old MRE was in an advanced state of intoxication at the time of his arrest, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
Searches carried out at the home of the defendant’s parents in "Laayayda" in Salé led to the seizure of a small caliber pistol, four cartridges and six metal bullets, according to the same source.
The accused was placed in custody for the investigation. The seized pistol was submitted to the Institute of Evidence and Forensic Science for ballistic expertise, the statement concludes.
