Moov-Africa Plans Morocco-Togo Submarine Cable to Boost Internet Service

Moov-Africa wants to make amends with its Togolese subscribers. A subsidiary of Maroc Telecom after the change of its identity, it plans to improve its services by deploying a submarine cable from Casablanca to Togo.
This initiative should allow Moov-Africa Togo subscribers to benefit from improved internet connectivity. For Abdellah Tabhiret, CEO of Moov-Africa Togo, this cable will allow the mobile operator to improve network coverage and, overall, the service it offers.
According to Moov-Africa’s half-yearly figures, 500,000 users have left the mobile network in Togo. Its subscriber base has dropped from 3.608 million users to 3.108 million.
