Montauban Man Sentenced to Prison for Drug Offenses, Wedding Plans Derailed

Fouad L., a resident of Montauban, who will soon be 40 years old, will not be able to get married anytime soon in Morocco to the young woman he says he is in love with. Tried in immediate appearance this Friday, March 7, 2025 before the judicial court of Montauban to answer for unauthorized possession, supply or transfer of drugs in recidivism, he was sentenced to 24 months in prison with continued detention, 5 years of ban on residing in the area, and confiscation of the money seized, reports La Dépêche du Midi. Deputy prosecutor Lucile Moutier had requested 30 months of actual imprisonment with continued detention, 5 years of ban on residing in Tarn-et-Garonne, and the confiscation of the money seized by the police in the apartment.

On February 4, during a police operation in the Chaumes neighborhood, the police had found several dozen grams of cannabis herb, resin and cocaine in his apartment in the Chaumes neighborhood as well as a sum of money.
