Mobile Number Portability in Morocco Now Takes Just 2 Days, Regulator Says

Telecom service subscribers wishing to port their numbers to other operators can breathe a sigh of relief. They will now benefit from reduced processing times.
Porting requests are now processed in 2 days via the Centralized Number Portability Database (BDCPN), which was set up on December 16, 2019, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) said in a press release.
The BDCPN, which was developed and operated by the Sirgad-Mediafon-Mediafon Data Pro consortium, contributes to streamlining the porting process, the same source specifies. Similarly, the database will contribute to the automation of request management flows between operators and promote the implementation of direct routing of calls to ported numbers.
