Mob Justice Sparks Controversy in Morocco After Alleged Thief Brutally Beaten

A thief has undoubtedly just had the worst day of his life after dozens of citizens caught him in the act of theft, in Ezzhiliga (Khémisset), at the souk, according to what is said.

A video was taken of this thief who was stripped (completely naked), beaten, humiliated, spat on, punched and kicked, and insulted. The latter begged the crowd to stop, but to no avail. He could have been killed, according to several media, including the Goud website. This happened on May 30.

It is not yet known what he stole, an egg or an ox, nor how, pickpocket or violent thief... The video created a great controversy on social networks, with Moroccans debating the legitimacy of this justice rendered by passers-by, some applauding it and others condemning it.

It should be noted that the thief began to shout "Kabbaha Allah al Faqr", pointing to his poverty which, according to him, would be the reason why he became a thief.

It is not yet known what happened to the thief, nor what happened to his judges and executioners.
