Missing Moroccan Teacher Found Dead After Hiking in Chefchaouen Mountains

Missing for four days, a 29-year-old teacher was found dead on Monday in the commune of Khmis Mdiq, Chefchaouen province.
This social studies teacher disappeared while he had gone hiking in the Kharbouch mountains, near the village where he lives with his family. After several days of searching, the young people of the village finally found the lifeless body of the missing person on Monday, the day of the celebration of Eid al-Adha, at the foot of the mountain.
Noticing his disappearance, the victim’s family had launched appeals on social media to try to find him. The teacher’s body was transferred to the forensic medicine service for the purposes of the autopsy. The Royal Gendarmerie has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of his death.
