Minors Arrested in Morocco for Filming and Sharing Sexual Assault on Social Media

Two minors, with criminal records, were arrested on Thursday for indecent assault. They are being prosecuted for having recorded and disseminated on social networks a video of their crime committed on a girl.

According to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the national security services reacted quickly after the video showing the sexual assault of the minor in the green belt of Essaouira was circulated.

These two young individuals, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on board a means of public transport, specifies a press release from the DGSN. Another minor and an adult, witnesses of the act without intervening, were also arrested.

For the needs of the investigation, the accused were placed in custody.
