Minor Earthquake Strikes Al Hoceima Province in Northern Morocco

A seismic shock of a magnitude of 2.6 degrees on the Richter scale was recorded on Thursday in the province of Al Hoceima.
According to a statement from the National Institute of Geophysics, the shock, the epicenter of which is located at the level of the Bni Gmil commune, occurred at exactly 8:08:51 pm. No human or material damage was reported on site.
According to the same source, the felt shock has a depth of 28 km, a latitude of 35.060°N and a longitude of 4.378°W.
The Al Hoceima region had experienced a slight earthquake of 4.7 degrees on the Richter scale last February.
