Mercer Study: Rabat and Casablanca Among Top African Cities for Expat Living

Two Moroccan cities stand out in the ranking of preferred destinations for expatriates, according to a recent study by Mercer.
Rabat and Casablanca, the two capitals, ranked 6th and 8th respectively in this Top 10 African, are the cities where it is good to live for expatriates. This study, which evaluates several aspects such as the political, social, cultural environment, as well as health and medicine, places these two Moroccan cities at the 127th and 136th global rank.
The African podium is dominated by Port Louis, the Mauritian capital, which ranks 88th globally. Other African cities, such as Victoria, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, also fare well.
At the global level, Vienna takes first place, closely followed by Zurich, Auckland and Copenhagen.

• Port Louis, Mauritius - Ranked 88th globally, Port Louis stands out as the city offering the best quality of life in Africa.
• Victoria, Seychelles - Occupying the 98th global position, Victoria shines with its unique living environment and natural beauty.
• Cape Town, South Africa - In 102nd global position, Cape Town combines modernity and natural charm.
• Johannesburg, South Africa - Johannesburg, in 105th position, is recognized for its economic and cultural dynamism.
• Durban, South Africa - Ranked 110th, Durban is appreciated for its pleasant climate and beaches.
• Rabat, Morocco - Rabat, in the 127th global rank, stands out for its rich cultural heritage and quality of life.
• Tunis, Tunisia - In 131st position, Tunis combines history, culture and modernity.
• Casablanca, Morocco - Casablanca, 136th globally, is recognized for its economic dynamism and urban lifestyle.
• Windhoek, Namibia - In 139th place, Windhoek offers a high quality of life in an exceptional natural setting.
• Gaborone, Botswana - In 146th position, Gaborone is appreciated for its tranquility and safety.
