Mentally Ill Man Arrested for Brutal Murder of Mother in Casablanca

The suspect suffers from mental disorders and has a heavy criminal record. He had already served a ten-year sentence after being found guilty of criminal acts. He is said to have taken advantage of his brother’s absence to attack their mother until she died, before mutilating her body.

Wanted by the police since Wednesday, he was arrested early Thursday by elements of the Sidi Bernoussi police station in Casablanca.

The police are continuing their investigation to shed full light on this heinous crime. The autopsy of the victim’s body is also underway. As for the suspect, he has been taken into custody for the needs of the investigation.
