New Megarama Multiplex Opens in Rabat: 12 Screens, 4K Projection

The Megarama of Rabat, a 12-screen multiplex, opened to the public on Monday, August 5, 2019. This investment, which cost around 70 million dirhams, is a strong signal for the expansion of the French group in the Kingdom.
With a capacity of 1,500 people per session, the sixth cinema complex of the French group, founded by Jean Pierre Lemoine after Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez and Tangier, Megarama Rabat is equipped with the latest generation of 4K laser projectors for 2D and 3D, as well as Dolby 7.1 sound.
Thanks to the twelve screens of Megarama Rabat, "spectators will be able to attend the projection of the latest national and international blockbusters on club or premium seats".
As an essential player in the film industry in Morocco, Megarama Rabat, located in the Arribat Center shopping mall, has created more than 35 jobs. It includes, among other things, a space dedicated to companies and individuals to organize private screenings.
Megarama is now establishing itself in Morocco in this sector. In 2002, its president Jean-Pierre Lemoine had inaugurated the group’s first multiplex in Casablanca, followed in 2006 by its second multiplex in Marrakech. The group has also launched a cinema complex in Fez in 2013, and in Tangier this year.
