Medical Lab Technician and Accomplice Arrested for Forging COVID-19 Test Results in Morocco

Two people were arrested on Thursday by elements of the Judicial Police Brigade of Sidi Kacem, for falsifying Covid-19 screening test results. It is a technician and the husband of the owner of a medical analysis laboratory.
The two accused, aged 26 and 39, were caught in the act of tampering with the test results, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release. They are in the habit of issuing analysis certificates to people who have never undergone them, for the sum of 600 DH each.
The searches carried out made it possible to seize 23 falsified medical certificates containing fictitious analysis results and 08 copies of national identity cards of a group of people wishing to undergo the test, the statement said.
The suspects were taken into custody for the investigation opened to determine the ins and outs of this case and define all the criminal acts attributed to them, concluded the DGSN.
