Morocco Arrests 37 Travelers for Fake Covid-19 Test Results at Border

The Judicial Police Brigade of Nador arrested on Friday 37 travelers of Moroccan nationality suspected of having presented fake Covid-19 tests. An investigation has been opened against them, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
These are 36 travelers at the port of Nador and another at the Nador-Al Aroui airport, who were unable to escape the border control procedures and health security devices, as they were about to leave Moroccan territory, informs the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
According to the document, this feat of the Judicial Police Brigade of Nador comes within the framework of the strengthening of border controls, in coordination with the health services and the competent public authorities, for an effective fight against the falsification of Covid-19 tests, in order to ensure the health safety of all citizens.
Immediately, a judicial investigation was ordered by the competent public prosecutor’s office to identify all the persons involved in the falsification of medical tests and certificates and to find out about all the possible ramifications of these criminal acts, concludes the DGSN press release.
