Medical Caravan Provides Eye Care to 520 Underprivileged Patients in Youssoufia

More than 500 people from underprivileged backgrounds benefited from a medical caravan in ophthalmology. It was organized from March 2 to 7 at the Lalla Hasnaa provincial hospital in Youssoufia.

During this medical mission called "Hope", for the screening and treatment of eye diseases, 520 patients were able to benefit from medical consultations, including 12 patients placed under treatment after screening for glaucoma. 14 people were able to start their treatment, after being diagnosed positive for diabetic retinopathy, and 160 patients underwent surgical interventions for the treatment of cataracts.

This Caravan, it should be noted, was supervised by a medical staff composed of 13 ophthalmologists, 1 resuscitator, and 10 nurses. At the end of this medical caravan, medication was distributed to the various beneficiaries.
