Medical Caravan Provides Free Care to 2,500 in Rural Morocco
The inhabitants of the commune of Taghbalt, in the province of Zagora, were able to benefit from the services offered by a multidisciplinary medical caravan, organized on the occasion of World Health Day.
The result of a joint initiative between the Association of Grand Draa for Development and Solidarity and the regional office of the Moroccan Red Crescent, with the support of the provincial delegation of Health, this medical campaign has benefited more than 2500 people with free consultations in several specialties.
The examined patients benefited from a free diagnosis carried out by specialist doctors in ophthalmology, pediatrics, gynecology, dentistry and general medicine, as well as free medicines on the occasion.
It should be recalled that medical caravans are organized thanks to the voluntary participation of doctors and the donations of medicines offered by pharmaceutical laboratories and NGOs.
