MBC Morocco Launches with Star-Studded Cast, Offering Record Salaries to Top Actors

The launch of the new television channel, MBC Morocco, is scheduled for October 2019 in Marrakech. The entry of the Saudi group into the Moroccan audiovisual landscape has been preceded by a massive recruitment of famous Moroccan artists who have been offered astronomical salaries.
For the occasion, the Saudi channel has launched the filming of a 120-episode television series, produced by the Moroccan company Speak Top, and which will feature several veterans of the Moroccan small screen, including Nezha Regragui and Mohamed El Jam.
The filming of this dramatic work, which is part of a series of productions planned for next Ramadan, should last 6 months. According to Akhbarona, the new contracts of Moroccan actors could put the national channels in a delicate situation, knowing that it will be impossible for them to recruit them.
This situation is all the more true since the fees that the stars of the Moroccan small screen will receive are exceptional. The site specifies that the stars of the Moroccan small screen will receive the sum of 1,200,000 dirhams each, while the lowest salary is 360,000 dirhams.
