Massive Sandstorm Engulfs Casablanca, Disrupting Traffic and Daily Life

A sandstorm hit Casablanca on Tuesday, October 20th. As a result, traffic was very difficult and a little scare for the people of Casablanca.
Limited visibility, gusts of wind and raindrops, this is the ordeal experienced by motorcyclists, motorists and pedestrians. The orange alert had been issued the day before by the General Directorate of Meteorology in a special bulletin. The DGM had announced strong gusts that should hit the provinces of Al Haouz, Berrechid, Casablanca, Chichaoua, El Jadida, Essaouira, Mediouna, Nouacer, Rehamna, Safi, Sidi Bennour and Youssoufia.
The same bad weather accompanied by dust storms was also expected in Chefchaouen, Kenitra, Larache, Oujda-Angad, Tanger-Assilah and Tétouan.
