Massive Fire in Fez Destroys Shops and Market Stalls, Cause Under Investigation

A serious fire broke out on Friday, September 13, 2019, in buildings located in the Bendebbab district, in the Al Mariniyyine district of Fez. Huge material damage was recorded.
In just half an hour, two stores, two apartments and about forty stalls went up in smoke in Fez. These are the damages caused by the fire.
Alerted, the Civil Protection elements were able to bring the fire under control, which had reached the improvised souk and reached two household appliance stores, we are told.
The scientific police elements, for their part, made the usual findings. For now, an investigation is underway to determine the true causes of this fire.
