In August, a forest fire ravaged 470 hectares of greenery in Chefchaouen, in northern Morocco. The local authorities were involved for nearly three weeks before mastering the fury of the flames.
A month earlier, a shocking video showing a young girl trying to escape from a burning apartment went viral. The incident that occurred in Sidi Allal Bahraoui, a town near Rabat, outraged the entire web.
In the video, Hiba, the little girl, could be seen desperately trying to escape the building through the window. But, she had been blocked by metal bars. The neighbors who had gathered below, waiting for the firefighters to arrive, could only watch, powerless, the young girl.
