Massive Drug Bust in Casablanca: 4.6 Tons of Cannabis Seized, Two Arrested

Elements of the anti-gang brigade of the Casablanca police prefecture arrested two individuals in possession of 4.6 tons of cannabis resin. They are accused of international drug trafficking.
The operation, carried out in coordination with the services of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), led to the arrest of the two suspects and the seizure of two vehicles, 4.6 tons of chira and 20 kilos of cannabis, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The two arrested persons, accused of having links with a criminal network active in the international drug and psychotropic trafficking by sea, were placed in custody and made available to the competent prosecutor’s office. The investigation continues to determine the possible ramifications of this criminal activity.
