Massive Cigarette and Shisha Tobacco Smuggling Operation Foiled in Agadir, Morocco

An attempt to traffic a large quantity of cigarettes and shisha tobacco (maâssel) was thwarted on Wednesday, February 19, by the elements of the Mobile Brigade of Agadir.
According to the Regional Directorate of Customs in Agadir, this operation made it possible to seize some 1,390,000 units of cigarettes and 1,115 kg of "maâssel", transported on a truck on the national road n°1, in the prefecture of Inezgane.
The same source states that the goods were hidden in empty plastic crates.
