Marrakech’s Water Museum Offers Free Night Tours for International Museum Day

To mark May 18, which commemorates the "International Museum Day", the Mohammed VI Museum for the Civilization of Water in Morocco-Aman in Marrakech will open to the general public who can make free night visits from 9pm to 1am.
The Mohammed VI Museum for the Civilization of Water in Morocco-Aman in Marrakech is recognized as one of the most modern in Africa. Today, it is practically impossible to come to Morocco without visiting this atypical space, which is one of the must-see places in the cultural landscape of Marrakech.
According to the museum officials, it is aware of the strategic issues related to the water sector that "the Kingdom of Morocco has implemented a development strategy based on the enhancement of water resources."
In this perspective, they affirm, the Mohammed VI Museum for the Civilization of Water plays a key role in the development process based on the enhancement of water resources that the Kingdom of Morocco is trying to develop. Indeed, it highlights the traditional hydraulic heritage in all its technical, social and cultural aspects.
On the evening of May 18, which commemorates the "International Museum Day", the populations are called upon, as promised by the museum officials, to discover "the richness of its architecture, its presentation but also the message it conveys - man and water in Morocco, renewed genius and tradition - through the installations, models, new interactive technologies used, historical reconstruction, but above all the unique atmosphere in which the visitor is immersed."
