French First Lady Discusses Landmark Impressionist Exhibition in Morocco with Museum Foundation President

Brigitte Macron, wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, received Mehdi Qotbi, President of the National Museums Foundation (FNM), an interview during which the catalog of the exhibition "The Colors of Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Collections of the Musée d’Orsay" was presented.
For Brigitte Macron, this exhibition, which is currently being held at the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rabat, is a first on the African continent and in the Arab world. It also testifies to the strong cultural link that unites Morocco and France and which has made it possible since 2014 to present to the Moroccan public masterpieces from the Louvre Museum, the Picasso National Museum or the National Museum of Modern Art of the Pompidou Center.
"France’s willingness to share the treasures of its national collections is a gesture of generosity and sharing that I encourage and support," she added, considering "essential that we can rejoice together in this dissemination of culture and beauty".
This exhibition, the inauguration of which was chaired by Princess Lalla Hasnaa, is under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI and President Emmanuel Macron. It is intended to be the first Impressionist exhibition to cross the shores of the Mediterranean.
